アメリカの料理雑誌が好きです。
毎月チェックしてる雑誌はいくつもあります。
アメリカの料理雑誌をパラパラとめくってたら、ふとケンタロウ本とまったく違うなと感じました。
レシピは別として、特に写真の撮り方が全然違うのです。
何がどう違うのかを比べてみました。
まず、料理を撮るカメラの角度です。
もうこれに尽きると言ってもいいくらいに違います。
ケンタロウ本
3冊（3人のカメラマン）を例に挙げてみます。
だいたい45度～60度の角度で撮影されてるのが多く、真上からのカット（真俯瞰撮影）はほとんどありません。

真俯瞰撮影はもしかしてアメリカだけなのか、他の国はどうなんだろうと気になって調べてみたら、やっぱり真俯瞰撮影が多いです。

もしかしてケンタロウ本だけが少ないのかなと思い、最近発売された他のレシピ本も見てみましたが、やっぱり真俯瞰撮影は少ないです。

この4冊以外にも見ましたが、ほとんどないと言ってもいいくらいに圧倒的に少ないです。
真俯瞰撮影をしない理由がありそうな気もします。
立体感を出しにくいというのはすぐに思いつきますが、それ以外の理由はなんでしょうか。
調べてみたのですが、見せ方の一つというのはわかりましたが、真上から撮る理由も、あえて撮らない理由もどっちもわかりませんでした。
